Co-Pilot
Community.

The more extensive a person’s knowledge of what has been done, the greater will be their power of knowing what to do.

Why build a Community?

More than ever, there is a need for those working within the Safe System to do some more collaboratively. Being better able to share knowledge, ideas and resources in real time will inevitably lead to faster, more efficient working with reduced waste and duplication. Today, we believe the technology exists to make this happen.

The Co-Pilot Community, launched in September 2024, is a networking platform for anyone and everyone who is playing their part in eradicating death and serious injury from our roads – including road safety professionals, practitioners, educators, enforcers, engineers, driver trainers and campaigners.

Yet the Co-Pilot Community is more than just a place to collaborate. Members will be served the latest news in the form of tailored briefings, a library of over 150 research papers and professional development through our self-paced MasterClasses. You’ll also find all our partner organisations sharing their free resources and updates through this single point-of-access platform.

And, if you’re an ICE Hub member or FirstCar TikTok supporter, you can access this content through the Community, too. Individual memberships are priced at £295 per year, whilst full Co-Pilot members benefit from unlimited users within their organisations.

What’s in the Community?

  • Collaborative spaces.

Several areas within the community have been set up to help members share knowledge and ideas, showcase successes, seek help and advice to overcome challenges, and network and collaborate. With public and direct messaging functionality, it’s never been easier to network with peers.

  • Research Library

Whilst there is a huge amount of research into most aspects of road safety, it’s often hard for practitioners to benefit from these because there has been no single repository to index them – until now. Dr Box has compiled over 125 of the most important research studies from the past decade in our Research Library.

  • Partners & Resources

These include public and third sector organisations, alongside subject matter experts that align with Co-Pilot’s strategic goals. Each have their own space within the community to share research, campaigns and assets that can be used by members.

  • Briefings

These have been designed to provide the maximum amount of knowledge and context in the minimum amount of time. Written and researched by professional journalists, our briefings are perfect for busy professionals who want to keep up to date.

  • MasterClasses

Bridging the gap between extended formal training and the short, snappy presentations you’ll fund at conferences, Co-Pilot MasterClasses, hosted by subject matter experts, offer an hour of self-paced CPD structured into chapters and lessons.

  • Events & Diary Dates

With so many online and in-person events throughout the year, this space within the community helps busy road safety practitioners choose those which are most beneficial for them and their teams.

Let’s talk.

With so many people across many diverse sectors all working toward the same goal, surely it makes sense to talk more, learn faster, overcome challenges and share our wins. The Co-Pilot Community makes it easy to meet, collaborate and share. Here’s how.
